Glocal Outsourcing

Recently i came aross a one more signifant fact about working in a top software MNC.The fact that all the solutions and services we provide are for our welcomed western customers while all the garbage which comes out of the campus courtsey of our frequent daily routines is for our own fellow indian counetrparts.
And above all who collects that garbage becomes the king of the day as we can see in the pic these are small little children. They are prowling on the garbage and collecting it so diligently that all of us who are working in our closed comfortable chambers will feel shy about our own work ethic.
All the big talks of CSR initiatives just vanishes when you see that the waste material which is also a company property is being handled by small kids and amazingly just at the boundary of the premises.
The front gate is the entry point for big CEO's who bring money in the firm coming in shining merc's and SUV's.and the back gate is for some hardworking child workers who are also doing their job for the firm by collecting the garbage.
What a travesty!!!!!
Is there any Standard whether ISO , Etc etc. the foolish list continues which determines about the garbage collection or handling of waste material outside the companies premises.
I must assure you that we apply all the environmental friendly standards in our organisation right from the vehicle pollution check to environmental friendly water drinking glasses. All the frequent unnecessary audit checks very well takes care of all these issues. And beleive me we care more about our recycled plastic glasses because it can cause some harmful disease than about knowing how our waste material is handled.
I am quite ignorant about the waste material handling standards applied by an oranization. whether there exists its also an issue!!!!
Can anyone guide me whether there exists any ISO or BLAH BLAH standard for this also.
It was very shameful for me to see being serviced at the lowest ladder by some small children because afterall they were collecting our waste.
In the end i thought that its all about outsourcing..i hope you can understand where the chain starts... Right from the top. I mean Uncle SAM....

Hostility towards Faith

Earlier this week the Kawaria season came to an end. It seems that all roads have been infiltrated by Kawaria's wearing saffron. The devotees who carry the Ganges water are called 'Kawaria'. Well i must say it is the utmost example of the sheer determination and endurance which only a person having unchallenged faith can show.
Many people who live in cities perceive it as an inconvinience to their daily routine. As all the roads been jammed or clogged to make a safe passage for the Kawaria's. People usually complain about the traffic snarls in the city. Lots of monetary loss occurs directly or indirectly because of this.

Recently While coming back to home from office i was stuck in the jam because of Kawaria's possesion. As i waiting for the jam to get clear I was a bit shocked and surprised to see a view which really put an indelible impact on my heart.
I was completely enthralled by seeing a child along with his father as a Kawaria.This really compelled me to think the faith which people have in god. Above all the faith which the father must be having in his son that he was ready to allow his son to march along with him to his native place in this ardous and trechrous journey.
I must say that all people have faith in god but we dont have faith in each other. We all pray and bow our head in front of lord shiva. So arn't we devotees of the same lord who are cursing each other. It a tradition which is being followed from hundreds of centuries.It is only the faith in each other which is why we as human beings have been able to survive.
Well judging some people's faith against some people's materialistic convinience is not at all fair. It should be realised that all members of the society should come forward and celebrate this festival with great fervour.
I am not saying that the Kawaria's have greater faith in god than those who are sitting in comfort of AC in their cars while waiting for the jam to get clear. It is only matter of getting inner peace and satisfaction. Methods of getting that can be numerous. Well its just a matter of respecting each others faith and letting people to respect their belief.
